RANDLEMAN — Richard Petty’s popular Blue Jeans and Boots fundraiser is back, scheduled for May 15, from 6 to 9 p.m. It will be held at Reverie Place — Petty’s home — located at 514 Providence Church Road, Randleman.
This event is a rare opportunity for race fans to spend some time with NASCAR’s Richard Petty, see where he lives, tour the Petty Museum and support the Petty Family Foundation. All proceeds will benefit the foundation.
“The Petty Family Foundation supports a number of charities, with a particular focus on helping kids and veterans,” said Rebecca Petty Moffitt, executive director of the foundation. “This event is always a lot of fun, but it also gives us an opportunity to let everyone know more about the mission of our foundation. And it gives Daddy a chance to thank folks in person for their donation.”
This year’s event will feature specialty cocktails from Sugarlands Distilling Co. in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Guests will also be able to sample a variety of Sugarlands moonshine. The tastings will be followed by a dinner, live and silent auctions, live music and other activities.
Special guests will include former ACC basketball players, NFL players and several moonshiners from the hit show, “Moonshiners,” on Discovery.
Tickets are $200 per person, or you can sponsor a table for $1,800. To order tickets, or for further information, contact Shannon Newman, director of the Petty Family Foundation, at 336-495-6643 or shannon@pettyfamilyfoundation.org.
