The Archdale-Trinity Middle School cheerleaders finished in third place in a Jan. 9 in a competition held at Randleman High School.

“Each member of the squad should be proud of her achievement, hard work, dedication and perseverance throughout such a demanding level of competition,” said ATMS Athletic Director Cindy Clodfelter. She also praised the work of colleagues Elizabeth Carty and Karon Johnson.

“Their success is a great example of how commitment and hard work make a difference,” Clodfelter said. “I also would like to say thank you to all of the parents for their sacrifices and support helping the girls to reach their goals. Their performance was a true reflection of courage, unselfishness, talent and cooperation.

Members of the team are Bekah Trehar, Faith Saunders, Rebecca McQuaigue, Caroline Weeks, Krissy Ezzell, Megan Griffin, Polly Van Ausdall, Sonya Sisk, Madison Sadler, Brooke Mauldin, Olivia Bryant, Erin Hodges, Kelley McCrary, Mallory Lowe, Kathryn Johnson, Megan Smith, Sarah Cable, Hannah Resor and Julie Reitzel. The assistant coach is Karon Johnson and the head coach is Elizabeth E. Carty.
